What’s Next for Climate Advocacy?

What will a new Congress and California’s next governor mean for climate advocacy? Join a discussion led by Sara Aminzadeh, Deputy Secretary for Federal Affairs at the California Natural Resources Agency. Drawing on a recent state workshop, Sara will discuss the election’s implications for local advocacy and state and federal policy.

A Kentfield resident with 20 years of environmental advocacy experience, Sara served on the California Coastal Commission from 2017–2023. Her current work focuses on federal opportunities to accelerate climate action and resilience.

We’ll also discuss Congressman Huffman’s recent climate town hall and the outcome of the Air District’s November 4 vote on its residential water heater rule.

Please note: Our November meeting will be held on Thursday instead of our usual Wednesday.
