MCL relies on the generous support of our community to continue preserving and protecting the natural assets of Marin for all residents. Our members and donors help enrich all lives by funding our efforts to educate, innovate, and enhance our shared environment. You can make a difference and help us connect people to preservation and policy by joining or renewing your membership, making a personal contribution, giving through your workplace, considering a legacy gift, or shopping and supporting MCL.
Join or Renew Membership
MCL members enjoy a range of benefits, including newsletters and issue updates, alerts on important environmental matters, discounts on select events, and opportunities to help shape MCL’s positions on key issues. Membership also helps support beloved programs that are open to the public, including Walks into Conservation History, Environmental Business Breakfasts, and dozens of expert presentations through MCL’s Issues Committees.
At every membership level, members receive the following benefits:

One-Time & Annual Contributions
Making a gift of any size beyond your membership helps us protect the places we love, advance clean energy and climate solutions, and promote equity and quality of life for all Marin residents. Your philanthropy ensures MCL has the resources to achieve these goals and so much more. We know there are many worthy nonprofits that need your support, and we appreciate your generosity towards our work of protecting and preserving the natural assets of Marin in a changing environment.
Other Ways to Contribute to MCL
- Donate through your Donor Advised Fund.
- Donate appreciated assets like stocks.
- Double your gift’s impact and ask your employer to match your gift to MCL.
- Make a gift in honor of a loved one, or in celebration of a birthday or special event.
- Shop at Sports Basement and designate MCL as your charity of choice for us to receive 10% of the proceeds from your cart.

Legacy gifts can take many forms, including:
- A bequest in your will or living trust
- Naming MCL as a beneficiary of a retirement account
- Naming MCL as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy
