Barry has been with The Climate Center since 2005 and now leads its program and policy teams. He is also the force behind the organization’s Community Energy Resilience project\, which led to a new $170 million investment program by the California Energy Commission in 2022. \nBarry will update us on the organization’s 2026 Policy Priorities. These include: \n\nCarbon Drawdown focused on nature based solutions (AB 2184)\nCommunity Decarbonization focused on Vehicle to Grid (SB 1282) and allowing distributed energy resources to qualify for Resource Adequacy (SB 913)\nRule changes to the Cap and Invest program and use of Greenhouse Gas Reduction funds\nEnhanced Geothermal\nHighlights of their April Policy Summit.\n\nPlease register above to join us for updates from local climate groups\, along with policy decisions shaping Marin.
