Speaker Bio:

Paul da Silva is a Marin ecologist, educator and environmentalist. He holds a B.A in biology, an M.S in resource management, and a PhD in entomology. He taught biology, natural history, environmental science and environmental landscaping at the College of Marin for 23 years before retiring and being elected to the COM Board of Trustees in 2020. He is especially interested in the relationship between humans and our environment. He has long been an active member of many local community organizations and an enthusiastic supporter of community science projects. He is one of the original organizers of the Marin Biodiversity Corridor Initiative (MBCI). He was first introduced to MCL in 1971.
