MCL’s Legacy of Land

The Mt. Tamalpais Watershed

Between 1934 and 1981 MCL helped to acquire and preserve some of Marin’s defining public lands. The total acreage of these lands is more than 11,000 acres. Click on the links below to learn more about our major accomplishments:

MCL continues to work on preserving important natural features of Marin. Projects have included the San Rafael Shoreline, Larkspur's Baltimore Canyon, Corte Madera marshes, Bahia, Rush Creek in Novato, Bel Marin Keys and other creeks, wetlands and ridges.
