CLIMATE ACTION COMMITTEE
The Climate Action Commitee now meets bi-monthly to work on issues around energy efficiency and climate change. Topics of interest to the committee include SB 375 and the Sustainable Communities Strategy, renewable energy and energy efficiency, green building, and climate change outreach and education.

Climate Action Committee Meeting Minutes
LAND USE and TRANSPORTATION
The Land Use and Transportation Committee monitors, reviews and comments to public agencies and decision-makers on land use planning issues of countywide significance. Committee members attend a wide range of workshops, public hearings and study sessions on various planning and development projects.
Major current projects include development in Lucas Valley, the Local Coastal Program update, Transportation Authority of Marin and SMART, large land developments on the Tiburon peninsula, the Marin General Hospital expansion, preparing recommendations for revisions of local general plans (such as Novato's), and supporting efforts to preserve and protect Marin baylands.
Meets: The first Wednesday of each month at 9:00 AM at the MCL office, 1623A Fifth Ave., San Rafael (corner of Fifth Ave. and F St.)

NORTH MARIN UNIT
The North Marin Unit tracks issues and projects in the Novato area, including a number of baylands projects and plans and studies prepared by City and County agencies.
Current topics include the Port Sonoma / Carneros Ranch dredge/fill project, the Gnoss Field EIR/EIS, and the Novato Narrows.

PARKS AND OPEN SPACE
The Parks and Open Space Committee advocates for parks and public open space in Marin by participating in planning processes that involve the federal, state and county lands in Marin. Committee members monitor projects and provide informed comments on proposals, issues and reports affecting these lands. Major current projects include the closure of California's state parks, the Bill's Trail (Samuel P. Taylor State Park) Program EIR , the Marin Countywide General Plan, vegetation management, the 680 Trail, and the County Roads and Trails Management Plan.
Meets: The second Thursday of each month at 3:00 PM at the MCL office, 1623A Fifth Ave., San Rafael (corner of Fifth Ave. and F St.)

Parks and Open Space Committee Meeting Minutes
WATER AND WATERSHEDS COMMITTEE
This committee's scope includes both of Marin's Water Districts, wells and groundwater, the health of the Delta, and water supply--including that from the Russian and Eel Rivers. All MCL members and friends are welcome to attend Water and Watershed Committee meetings. No expertise is required, just an interest in these timely and important issues.
Meets: The fourth Thursday of each month from 4:30 to 6:30 PM at the MCL office, 1623A Fifth Ave., San Rafael
