The Marin Hazardous and Solid Waste JPA, with representatives from all parts of Marin County, CA, ensures Marin's compliance with the California Integrated Waste Management Act of 1989. The JPA 's purpose is to provide household hazardous waste collection, recycling and disposal information, ensure Marin's compliance with State recycling mandates and other education for the citizens and businesses of Marin. The JPA is administrated by the Marin County Department of Public Works/Waste Management. Citizen and industry review is provided by the AB 939 Local Task Force. MCL has been attending meetings of the Local Task Force and supports its efforts to establish a Zero Waste Program in the County of Marin. 2010 Documents and Correspondence
