San Geronimo Valley Salmon Enhancement Plan |
|
The Marin County Board of Supervisors voted on February 9, 2010 to accept the San Geronimo Valley Salmon Enhancement Plan as a "guidance document." The Plan is the result of a 2008 agreement between the County and Salmon Protection and Watershed Network (SPAWN) calling for a scientific review to determine the cumulative effects of human activities on the health of the endangered salmonid populations in San Geronimo and Lagunitas Creeks. The Plan recommends many voluntary actions for restoring habitat especially in the riparian corridor of the creeks as well as a Riparian Tree Ordinance, a proposal that the Board of Supervisors rejected and returned to county planning staff on August 10, 2010. MCL has been tracking this issue closely. 2010 Documents and Correspondence
